Mother's Day was the single busiest dining day in Canada last year, more than 37 per cent of us are planning to mark the occasion with a meal out, according to OpenTable's 2026 consumer research. In Langley, that means restaurants and patios book up early. Here's your weekend plan, mapped across brunch, shopping, and a good long walk.

Where to brunch

A handful of Langley standouts are already taking reservations. Expect seats to go fast in the next two weeks.

  • Township 7 Winery (21152 16th Ave) — A 10 a.m. Mother's Day brunch at one of South Langley's original wineries, with reservations filling fast.
  • Backyard Vineyards (3033 232 St) — Brunch boards with mimosas on both Saturday and Sunday, plus a small gift for Mom. Seating is limited.
  • Coast Langley City Hotel — A classic all-you-can-eat buffet with a photo backdrop and a flower for every mother. Good for big family groups.
  • Sabà Bistro (Fort Langley) — For a quieter, European-style brunch in a genuinely neighbourly setting. Owner Simone Hurwitz sources from Fraser Valley producers.
  • Trading Post Eatery (Fort Langley) — Heated patio, seasonal menu, and the option to keep it casual with a shared table.
  • The Hard Bean Brunch Co. — If Mom prefers pancakes-as-dessert energy over white tablecloths.

Tip

Book by Tuesday, April 28 at the latest. Most Langley restaurants take Mother's Day reservations a month out, and prime brunch windows (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) fill first.

What to buy

Langley's independent florists and boutiques are where this weekend really sparkles. A few to know:

  • Floralista (Fort Langley) — A full-service flower studio on Glover Road with a loyal local following.
  • Niche Boutique Florals — Known for custom, same-day arrangements.
  • Walnut Grove Floral Boutique — 30-plus years in the community.
  • Fresh Blooms, Cicily's, and Oceana — All offer same-day delivery across Langley.
  • Farmhouse in Provence (Fort Langley) — For non-floral gifts: vintage finds, soaps, linens, and locally sourced treasures.
  • Into Chocolate Candy & Confections — Hand-crafted chocolates that travel well, with two locations.

Where to walk

Sometimes Mom just wants fresh air. Langley delivers.

  • Fort to Fort Trail — 12 to 15 km of Fraser River walking path between Bedford Landing and Derby Reach. Flat, scenic, and dog-friendly.
  • Campbell Valley Regional Park — Equestrian trails and open meadows in South Langley. Perfect for a quieter morning.
  • Derby Reach Regional Park — Riverfront beaches and picnic spots; good for a brunch-to-walk combo.
  • Aldor Acres or Krause Berry Farms — Spring means open fields, flowers, and (at Krause) pie. Treat Mom to the full agritourism experience.

One Sunday. A dozen ways to do it right. Whatever Mom loves most, Langley has a version of it within 20 minutes' drive.
