A new relationship-focused business community is launching in Langley—and its founders have a vision that reaches far beyond the Fraser Valley.

Business Unlimited Network (BUN), the newest venture from business strategist, real estate investor and coach Debbie Balfour, and her co-founder Jenny Holly Hansen. She is preparing to welcome local business owners to a new kind of business community—one built on meaningful relationships, shared learning and genuine collaboration.

After speaking with Debbie about the vision behind BUN, one thing became clear: this is much more than another networking group. Business Unlimited Network has the potential to roll quickly across Canada, strengthening businesses and making a meaningful impact in every community it enters. “The greatest opportunities in business rarely begin with a transaction,” Debbie explained. “They begin with a relationship.” That belief is at the heart of everything BUN is building.

Relationships Before Referrals

Traditional networking can often feel transactional. Business owners exchange cards, deliver their pitches and leave hoping that someone will send them a referral. BUN is turning that model on its head.

Instead of asking members how many referrals they received, the organization focuses on a more important question: How many meaningful relationships did you build?

Business Unlimited Network is guided by five core values:

  • Relationships Before Referrals
  • Collaboration Before Competition
  • Giving Before Receiving
  • Learning Before Leading
  • Trust Before Opportunity

These are not simply marketing phrases. They are the foundation of the culture Balfour and Hansen have spent countless hours intentionally designing.

Even the organization’s language reflects its values. Members are known as “Trusted Partners.” Referrals become “Trusted Introductions™.” Regular gatherings are called “Business Growth Meetings.”

The message is simple: when people trust one another, support one another and genuinely care about each other’s success, business opportunities follow naturally.

Built for Business Owners Who Want Something More

Business Unlimited Network is designed for business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals who are tired of surface-level conversations and pressure-filled referral meetings.

Its ideal members believe in integrity, continuous learning and long-term relationships. They are collaborative rather than transactional and understand that helping someone else succeed does not diminish their own opportunities—it expands them.

“Stop chasing business. Start building relationships,” Debbie said. “Opportunities come and go. Trusted relationships compound for a lifetime.”

Each BUN community will protect one business category per Trusted Partner, allowing members to build confidence and collaborate without competing against others in the same field.

Members will also have access to educational workshops, leadership development, an online Learning Hub, a business directory, community events, Trusted Introductions™, collaborative opportunities and initiatives designed to strengthen the local community.

A Vision Born from Experience

Debbie Balfour brings more than 25 years of experience in business consulting, organizational change, leadership, process improvement, coaching and community fundraising. Jenny Holly Hansen has spent 20 years developing trusted relationships through the insurance industry and creating successful business networking events, including Langley Connect.

The idea for BUN emerged from a powerful question: “What if we intentionally designed a business community where relationships truly came before referrals?”

Together, their experience has shown them what can happen when people stop focusing exclusively on transactions and begin investing in one another.

Plans for the future include expanding Canada-wide, leadership programs, coaching services, education workshops, annual conferences and community impact initiatives.

Technology and innovation will also play an important role. BUN intends to help its Trusted Partners explore artificial intelligence, automation and digital collaboration tools so they can work more efficiently—while creating more time for the human relationships that matter most.

Growing Businesses While Strengthening Communities

BUN’s mission extends beyond helping its members generate business. Every community will choose local charities and initiatives that are meaningful to the people who live there.

Rather than selecting one national cause, each chapter will be empowered to make a difference close to home.

Success will not be measured solely in dollars or referrals. It will also be measured by relationships formed, collaboration opportunities, businesses strengthened and communities improved.

That local-first approach may be exactly what allows Business Unlimited Network to make such a powerful impact. Each new community will share the same values while remaining connected to the unique needs of its own city.

Be Part of the Beginning

Langley business owners have an opportunity to experience Business Unlimited Network at the very beginning of what could become a major Canadian business movement. Introductory events will be held in Langley on:

  • Wednesday, August 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Register for your free tickets on eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/business-unlimited-network-bun-tickets-1996113840230?aff=ebdssbdestsearch

These events will introduce the BUN vision, values and culture while giving local business owners an opportunity to discover what it means to become one of the community’s first Builder Partners.

Business Unlimited Network is not simply something members join—it is something they help build.

For entrepreneurs and professionals looking for meaningful connections, ongoing education and a supportive community committed to mutual success, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

The first BUN community may be launching in Langley, but its vision is unlimited. If the energy and intention behind this venture are any indication, Business Unlimited Network could soon sweep across Canada—creating stronger relationships, stronger businesses and stronger communities wherever it goes.
